The park regarded as a few alternate options in its EA and selected choice B for implementation. A substitution bridge will be created on a new alignment about 500 toes south of the present bridge area. Approximately just one mile of new road will be produced to line up with the replacement bridge place. Parking, pullouts, and the Yellowstone River Picnic Spot, located along this highway phase, will also be redesigned and reconstructed to accommodate amplified customer use.
Automobile website traffic will use the current bridge when the new bridge is beneath construction. Targeted visitors delays will be minimum. The moment complete, the present highway section and bridge will be eliminated, and the region rehabilitated.
Depending on funding, roadwork could start as early as spring 2022 and very last for a few consecutive several years.
