BAR HARBOR, MAINE – The National Park Assistance (NPS) is recruiting 6 Acadia Instructor Fellows to shell out the summertime learning about Acadia Nationwide Park’s varied natural and cultural sources, and methods to shield them. Teachers will be selected to function on Mount Desert Island and at Schoodic Place. Acadia Countrywide Park invites full-time, K-12 general public classroom university instructors to use online by February 21.
The Acadia Instructor Fellowship software strives to connect teachers and pupils to countrywide parks. Precedence is presented to classroom instructors from public universities with pupils who are underrepresented, economically disadvantaged, or have minimal entry to parks. Precedence is also given to lecturers from Maine colleges who do not require housing.
“Many classroom instructors desire about living in and studying about our countrywide parks,” explained Superintendent Kevin Schneider. “Acadia Trainer Fellowships are serving to make people dreams occur genuine.”
Acadia Trainer Fellows will acquire weekly stipends, instructing products from America’s National Parks Retail store, the park’s bookstore husband or wife, and shared park housing as available. Added benefits consist of a totally free class subject trip to Acadia or a national park internet site around their school, as well as aid with coming up with an outside classroom at their home university.
