Rangers Respond to Single Vehicle Accident along Highway 64 in Grand Canyon National Park

At about 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Middle been given a connect with of a single auto accident in close proximity to the South Entrance Station along Freeway 64 in Grand Canyon National Park.

26-year-old Haley McCormick of Tusayan, Arizona suffered lethal accidents when the automobile she was driving collided with a tree. Rangers and medical personnel tried resuscitation initiatives and had been unsuccessful.  

Legislation enforcement rangers closed Freeway 64 north of the South Entrance Station in order to safely and securely crystal clear the scene and investigate the incident. The road remained closed till roughly 12:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 3.

An investigation into the incident is remaining conducted by the Arizona Section of Public Safety in coordination with the Countrywide Park Assistance and the Coconino County Clinical Examiner’s Office environment. No even more info is readily available at this time.
