Names of deceased released after single-vehicle accident at Acadia National Park

BAR HARBOR, ME — Three individuals died in a single-motor vehicle incident that happened all over 2:30 am on Saturday, August 31, 2019, on the Park Loop Highway in Acadia Nationwide Park. The driver, Praneeth Manubolu, 28, of Edgewater, New Jersey, sustained non-daily life threatening injuries. The 3 travellers who died in the accident were being Lenny Fuchs, 36, Laura Leong, 30, and Zeeshan Mohammed, 27, all of New York Town. 

Just prior to 3 am, the Bar Harbor Police Department acquired a 911 phone from the driver reporting a one-car incident on the just one-way section of the Park Loop Street near the Gorge Path trailhead. The Bar Harbor law enforcement and hearth departments were being the initially personnel to answer and uncovered 3 occupants useless at the scene. The driver was transported to Mount Desert Island Hospital for cure. Subsequent his release, he was arrested on a felony complaint and transported to the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth, Maine.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Business office was on scene to assist the Nationwide Park Services with accident reconstruction and investigation.
