MAMMOTH Sizzling SPRINGS, WY – Superintendent Cam Sholly introduced today the collection of Mike Tranel as the new deputy superintendent of Yellowstone Nationwide Park. He will get there in the park in early February 2021.
Tranel, a 35-year veteran of the Nationwide Park Services (NPS), is at present the superintendent of the Powder River Team and oversees Bighorn Canyon Nationwide Recreation Region, Little Bighorn Battlefield and Devils Tower national monuments and Fort Laramie Nationwide Historic Web-site. Tranel has a master’s degree in Geography from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s diploma in American Scientific studies/Earth Science from the University of Notre Dame.
