Lifeguards and Entrance Fees Return to Sandy Hook

Middletown, N.J. – Lifeguards will be on duty at Gateway Countrywide Recreation Area’s Sandy Hook Device commencing Saturday, June 13. Most beach locations will now be open for swimming. Advisory signs noting which seashores are lifeguarded will be at the entrance and up to date every day.

Gateway Countrywide Recreation Spot will resume accumulating beach accessibility costs at Sandy Hook on Wednesday, June 17. Everyday service fees are $15 for each car. Costs are collected concerning 7 am and 5 pm. Limits on parking (50% capability) at Sandy Hook will continue being in effect by means of June 16. Parking will return to 100% ability on June 17.
