Chittenden Road, trailhead parking area, and the Chittenden-Mount Washburn trail will close for 5 days in September for improvements

• A closure on Mount Washburn will be in effect from September 9-13. Shut regions will involve:
  • Chittenden Road (from Grand Loop Street)
  • Chittenden trailhead parking location
  • Chittenden Street-Mount Washburn Trail

• Crews will operate to improve the path floor. 
• Hikers can accessibility Mount Washburn via the Dunraven Go – Mount Washburn Path.
• If inadequate climate situations prohibits work to be completed through this time frame, the closure period will be moved to September 16-20.
