WELLFLEET, Mass. – Cape Cod National Seashore is happy to welcome again the Cape Symphony for a cost-free outside concert at 7 pm on Friday, August 23 at the outside amphitheater at Salt Pond Visitor Heart in Eastham. This is the fourth yr that the symphony has executed at the national seashore, an enduring legacy of the 2016 Nationwide Park Services Centennial.
The Countrywide Park Services and Cape Symphony are collaborating on a multimedia generation that includes the symphony’s principal musicians and visitor artists. This fun-stuffed evening of tunes in a lovely setting together the shores of Salt Pond will feature visits to Broadway and Hollywood, a touch of Disney, and a celebration of our country with heart-stirring patriotic songs. Pre-concert things to do and games for people will be held from 6 to 6:45 pm.
“We are thrilled to have Jung-Ho Pak and the symphony back,” said Cape Cod Countrywide Seashore Superintendent Brian Carlstrom. “These concerts have turn into a ‘don’t miss’ occasion on the Outer Cape. They are artfully manufactured, enjoyment, and there is a little something for everybody. Each and every calendar year showcases a thing distinct, and this yr the occasion pays tribute to unforgettable moments in history, this sort of as the moon landing and the role of the US Cavalry in early protection of nationwide parks. The addition of Disney pieces and our pre-concert actions for young children make this an fantastic spouse and children celebration.”
Quite a few featured performers will be a part of the symphony on stage, like vocalist Mia Pak, Jung-Ho Pak’s daughter, who is pursuing a career in theater, and not too long ago made her Lincoln Middle debut. Producing return appearances are singers Jessica Curran, Anna McEntee, and Jennifer Dashnaw.
This cost-free live performance is built feasible by big monetary guidance from Good friends of the Cape Cod Nationwide Seashore, philanthropic partner to the nationwide seashore since 1987, and America’s Countrywide Parks, operating park merchants at seashore customer centers and the Keeper’s Shop and excursions at Highland Gentle.
