WELLFLEET, Mass— Cape Cod Countrywide Seashore Superintendent Brian Carlstrom has declared that Dan McCarthy has been selected to provide as the new Main of Facilities at Cape Cod National Seashore.
McCarthy’s past positions have offered him large-ranging knowledge that will serve him very well in this new assignment. For the earlier three decades he has served as the Supervisory Facility Specialist at the Statue of Liberty Nationwide Monument. McCarthy focused on upkeep operations, challenge administration, all-natural and cultural source compliance, controlling budgets, developing workforce, and strengthening morale. In addition, McCarthy has been engaged in a wide variety of specific assignments. He was the chair of the Nationwide Park Services (NPS) Washington Office environment Chainsaw Basic safety Function Group, a mentor and graduate of the Facility Manager Leaders Method, a agent of New York Harbor Parks on the NPS Region 1 Routine maintenance Advisory Group, a method manager for the NPS Arborist Incident Reaction plan, and a Basic safety Officer trainee on the Japanese Incident Management Crew.
Prior to working at the Statue of Liberty, McCarthy was the Main of Services at Blackstone River Valley Nationwide Historic Park, New Bedford Whaling National Historic Park, and Roger Williams Countrywide Memorial. In this position, McCarthy designed and applied the new a few-park facility management software including staffing and property administration strategies. McCarthy started his NPS job at Boston Nationwide Historical Park in the early 1990s as a laborer and gardener.
McCarthy and his family members have moved to Cape Cod, in which they be a part of prolonged family associates. They are delighted to be property.
