Middletown, N.J. – Gateway National Recreation Area introduced now that comprehensive beach front closures of selected nesting seaside parts will commence to be applied starting up this Friday, Could 21, for shorebird conservation.
Seaside closures are founded on an once-a-year basis to shield nesting and brooding shorebirds, like the federally threatened piping plover and the federally endangered roseate tern.
