Advisory Commission Meeting Announced for Sept 9

BAR HARBOR, MAINE – The Acadia National Park Advisory Commission will fulfill at Moore Corridor at the Schoodic Institute in Wintertime Harbor  at 1 – 3 p.m. on Monday September 9, 2019. The conference is open to the public and will include an opportunity for community remarks.

At the conference, Acadia Countrywide Park Superintendent Kevin Schneider will give an update on the Acadia Countrywide Park Draft Transportation Program as perfectly as other standard updates applicable to the Advisory Fee. Don Kent, President & CEO of Schoodic Institute at Acadia Countrywide Park as very well as David MacDonald, President & CEO of Mates of Acadia will also give updates from their respective companies to the Advisory Fee.
 
Congress designed the Acadia National Park Advisory Commission in 1986 to seek advice from with the Nationwide Park Provider on issues relating to the management and progress of the park, which include, but not confined to, the acquisition of lands and pursuits in lands. The Commission is comprised of 16 associates with 3 customers appointed by the Secretary of Interior, three members appointed by the Governor of Maine, and one member appointed by every of the next towns: Bar Harbor, Cranberry Isles, Frenchboro, Gouldsboro, Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor, Swans Island, Tremont, Trenton, and Wintertime Harbor.
