Acadia National Park Advisory Commission meets virtually on February 7

The Acadia National Park Advisory Commission will satisfy nearly at 1 pm on Monday, February 7. The assembly is open to the public and will include an chance for general public comment. 

Agenda topics include:  

  • 2021 park visitation 

  • 2022 visitor outlook and Transportation Strategy, which includes motor vehicle reservations and Acadia Gateway Center  

  • Construction projects, such as the park headquarters routine maintenance facility 

  • Fantastic Meadow Culvert Substitute and Wetland Enhancement 

  • Ecological Health and fitness of Otter Cove group science grant  

  • Reports from the Schoodic Institute and Friends of Acadia

Congress produced the Acadia National Park Advisory Commission in 1986 to seek advice from with the Nationwide Park Company on issues relating to the administration and improvement of the park, like, but not limited to, the acquisition of lands and passions in lands. The Fee is comprised of 16 members with 3 members appointed by the Secretary of Inside, three users appointed by the Governor of Maine, and a person member appointed by every of the following towns: Bar Harbor, Cranberry Isles, Frenchboro, Gouldsboro, Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor, Swans Island, Tremont, Trenton and Wintertime Harbor.
